the
treatment is done by hand and does not involve the
use of drugs or surgery. The chiropractor will find joints that are not
working
properly, muscles that are tight or in spasm and nerves that are not
operating
correctly and use manipulation and soft tissue techniques to improve
their
function and reduce pain.
Chiropractors
are primarily healthcare professionals, which
means you do not need to be referred to see the chiropractor, you can
make an
appointment directly with the clinic.
To be
able to
call themselves a chiropractor a person must
be registered with the statutory regulatory body, the General
Chiropractic Council
(GCC). All the chiropractors are also members of a professional
associates and
have indemnity insurance.
